Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore
The Ramakrishna Math , which was built in Mylapore is a peaceful spot which is perfect for meditation, calmness etc. The current big temple is called the Universal Temple , and was built in 2000, and the main shrine consists of a marble statue of Swami Ramakrishna , the main founder of Ramakrishna Mission , and the father of Swami Vivekananda . The main hall inside of the temple is very vast and large. The original Old Shrine , was a small hall built in 1917, for the idol of Saradha Devi , the wife of Ramakrishna as I recall.
