Perumal on the go!
Perumal, or Vishnu, is a Hindu God, who is known as the protector, in the last blog, I told about the temples in Trichy. In this blog, I will be telling the Vishnu temples that you can visit in Salem and Namakkal! Bring your children to all spots!!
SALEM
1.Ramanuja temple, Salem.
The Ramanuja Mandapam or temple is a very peaceful place with spots for meditation. I suggest bringing children for company as there is an elephant-themed playground. This temple is devoted to the Sri-Vaishnavite guru Ramanujacharya, who was a devout follower of Perumal. His death place was in the Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam, which is the theme of this temple in Salem. The Ranganathaswamy sannidhi in this temple has a replica of the Golden-Vimana of
Srirangam.

2.Kothandarama temple, salem
The Kothandarama temple of salem is also very peaceful here and it has a lot of walking space! This temple is known for its exquisite and intricate sculptures. The temple has a Divine energy with the 7th form of Perumal being the idol here.

3.Nainamalai Varadharaja temple
The Nainamalai Varadharaja temple, is in the Namakkal district, but it is pretty close to salem, so I'm including this temple. This temple is often called Tirupathi as it is on top of a sacred hill. The word "Naina" means father. This hill was a spot for Rishis to do penance.

NAMAKKAL
1.Anjeneya temple, Namakkal.
The Anjeneya temple in Namakkal is one of the most powerful temples in the field of knowledge. The idol is a very tall form of the God Anjeneya, who is the divine monkey who defeated Ravana in the story Ramayana. Visit this temple for knowledge and blessings!
2.Narasimha temple, Namakkal
The Narasimha temple in Namakkal is a very Divine temple with the idol Narasimha (man-lion form of Perumal) and Namagiri Thayar (Lakshmi). The famous mathematician, Ramanuja came here for blessings from Namagiri Thayar, and got a dream of her writing and explaining math equations!

These temples are near Trichy, so if you are a pilgrim, then freely visit these temples!! In the next blog I will be blogging my trip to Trichy!!
